A love story between a Japanese merchant and a Vietnamese aristocrat from the late 1600s became the blueprint for this riverside luxury hotel, split into two wings that each take one side of the romance. The Japanese wing has dark wood and lanterns; the Vietnamese side leans Art Nouveau with lavish drapery. Four-poster beds, silk pillows, and freestanding tubs run throughout. The rooftop lounge looks over the Thu Bon river and the old town.
