Architect Alberto Kalach built this fourteen-villa resort from local brick and concrete, and the result reads somewhere between a cliff temple and a landed spacecraft. Grupo Habita's Oaxacan coast property runs entirely on solar power, off the grid by design, with slatted walls that trade air conditioning for the actual breeze. Rooms come with books instead of televisions. The hammam and plunge pools are the amenities; a gym would feel like a category error. Michelin gave it a Key.
