    Seventy-two suites spread across fifteen oceanfront acres on a cliff above the Maui coastline, with three islands visible on a clear day. Hotel Wailea is an adults-only resort with the scale of a private retreat, all winding paths, waterfalls, and tropical gardens keeping the outside world at arm's length. The architecture leans into indigenous Hawaiian design rather than generic resort polish, and the staff make the distinction feel earned.
