A waterfall pours down the side of this hotel. Not a metaphor: the building is shaped like a volcano, wrapped in living moss and ferns, with hobbit-hole windows and a manmade cascade for a facade. Rooms inside are warm with native wood and conspicuously free of televisions, because Chilean Patagonia is doing the entertaining. A private nature reserve surrounds it, with glacial lakes and old-growth forest right outside. Pisco sours by the spa pool handle the evenings.
