    The hotel sits on Shilaoren Beach, named for a sea stack offshore that legend says was once a fisherman waiting forever for his lost daughter, which sets a certain mood. This large coastal hotel has 435 rooms and 25 suites, all facing the Yellow Sea, with Regency Club floors stacked from the 20th story up. Five dining venues lean into the setting, from Shandong seafood to an all-day beachfront buffet. The Qingdao Grand Theatre is nearby.
