The name borrows from the Danish concept of hygge, which does at least explain the Nordic-lit room and the mood that lands somewhere between dinner party and date night. HYG is a modern restaurant on the shores of Lake Lucerne, serving a sharing menu or à la carte plates built around clean, confident combinations. The wine list runs to around 500 bottles, and the service is relaxed without being inattentive.
