    A colonial-style waterfront resort on the Miles River where the Eastern Shore slows everything down considerably. The Inn at Perry Cabin has been around forever, holds a Forbes Four Star, and still carries a certain old-money ease through its rooms and grounds. Sailors, wedding parties, and weekend escapees from DC tend to share the dock views without anyone minding much. Chesapeake Bay is right there, and the pace makes that feel like the whole point.
