    The JW Marriott occupies the lower floors of a tower on Minsheng Road, a few minutes' walk from the People's Liberation Monument and, crucially, from some of China's most serious hot pot. Rooms are polished and spacious, with city views that make more sense once you realize Chongqing is built on hills and rivers rather than a grid. Man Ho handles Cantonese and Sichuan cooking; Qing Kitchen runs all-day with live stations. Touch Spa is on site.
