    A 2.4-kilometer pool threading through 27 acres of garden sets the scale here, which is considerable: nearly 500 rooms, 11 restaurants and bars, and a bamboo shark breeding program that guests can visit, because why not. This JW Marriott resort sits on a clean stretch of Khao Lak beach, ninety minutes from Phuket Airport. Rooms come in dark wood and Thai art with ceiling fans. The on-site garden supplies the kitchen, eggs included.
