A stone mansion near the castle walls of Ioannina, one of the few buildings that survived the fire of 1820, is now a boutique hotel where the heavy wooden doors and ornate fireplaces are very much the point. Rooms have exposed brick, wood-beamed ceilings, and decorative bedframes, with Jacuzzis and Nespresso machines tucked in so discreetly you almost feel bad using them. It holds a Michelin Key.
