Each of the four lodges on Kapama Private Game Reserve has its own personality, but Karula is the one where the villas have more indoor and outdoor lounge space than most people have in their homes. The design leans into the tension between clean contemporary lines and hand-crafted rustic texture, which somehow works beautifully out here in Big Five country. Game drives anchor the days; the spa makes a reasonable argument for skipping one.
