A five-room restaurant-with-rooms on the edge of Cairngorms National Park, Killiecrankie House pairs a kaiseki-influenced tasting menu with Scottish ingredients, then gives you a dark, minimal room with a four-poster and a freestanding bath to sleep it off. The whisky library and vinyl collection are there for the gaps in between. Pitlochry is ten minutes away, which turns out to be academic.
