The chef has been at it forever, turning out foie gras flan, Bresse hen buried in truffles, and roast rack of lamb with the kind of confidence that comes from not needing to impress anyone. The terrace under the trees is where you want to be in fine weather, and the wine cellar runs deep on regional bottles.
