A thatched exterior that reads traditional Frisian farmhouse opens into rooms done in punchy, contemporary color, and somehow it works. This small hotel on Sylt sits between the dunes and a serious spa done in a Scandinavian register. The chef behind it is better known for the fine dining restaurant on the premises, but the rooms, ranging from a well-proportioned single to a sprawling Royal Suite, suggest the same attention carries through the whole house.
