Le Bois Blanc
French
The name nods to the birch forests of the Sologne, and the kitchen follows the same logic: Chambord asparagus, freshwater pike, local game in season. This contemporary bistro in Romorantin has varnished wooden tables, warm filament bulbs, and a chef who trained at Georges Blanc before coming home to cook his own backyard. The Loire wine list keeps pace. Classical French technique, very regional ingredients, and a room that feels dressed up without being stiff.
