On the road between La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, this snug mountain chalet restaurant is the kind of place you'd drive past without the tip-off. Inside, the room is warmly alpine and small enough that the chef and the front-of-house know your face by the second course. The cooking leans modern but stays rooted in the mountains, with farm lamb and cold lettuce soup that sounds implausible until it doesn't.
