Le Grand Cerf

Half-timbered and square-facing in one of France's officially designated Most Beautiful Villages, this old coaching inn has been around forever without looking stuck in the past. Rooms take their cues from the surrounding beech forest, with beds carved from reclaimed branches, sloped ceilings, skylights, and plaid duvets that make a strong case for never leaving.
