Le Relais de Marambaia

Five suites on a hillside above the Atlantic, about twenty miles southwest of Rio, which is close enough to escape and far enough to forget. The pared-down Brazilian interiors mix minimalism with French armchairs and the odd rustic touch, keeping things warm rather than austere. Polished hardwoods and jetted tubs fill the rooms, while the in-house restaurant bends fresh local seafood through a distinctly Gallic lens.
