All 19 rooms face the water at this boutique hotel on Marseille's Corniche, close enough to the sea that the Michelin Guide felt compelled to remind guests not to dive from their balconies. The style borrows from Fifties modernism, which mostly means it's calmer and sunnier than you'd expect from a city hotel. The Vieux-Port is five minutes on foot, and there's a rooftop pool and spa for days when you'd rather not walk anywhere at all.
