    The dining room of this one-Michelin-starred restaurant inside a centuries-old Périgord castle is hung with actual Renaissance frescoes, which sets a certain tone before the food even arrives. The chef cooks modern French with a southwest obsession, leaning on small producers and the region's better ingredients. Surprise tasting menus only, so you're putting yourself in their hands, which the frescoes suggest is probably fine.
