    Twelve individually themed saunas, three heated pools, and a natural bathing lake sit above the Moselle at this lifestyle resort outside Bernkastel-Kues. The owner has spent years decorating the place in what he calls retro-chic-stylish, which turns out to mean button-back beds, walnut paneling, and gold accents that feel more personal than hotel-catalog. A Traditional Chinese Medicine programme rounds out a spa that most properties in the region quietly envy.
