A roasting spit and a wall of copper pans dominate the open kitchen of this French-leaning seasonal restaurant, tucked behind a church in a crisply renovated mansion. The chef's cooking is precise without being fussy, built around serious Belgian produce handled with obvious care. The vibe is warm and unstuffy, which makes sense when the front of house is run by the chef's partner. Fine dining that doesn't take itself too seriously is a harder trick than it looks.
