A neighborhood brasserie in Jesmond where the chef's Albanian roots and Italian years show up clearly on a Mediterranean menu that doesn't try too hard to announce itself. The room is relaxed, the cooking straightforward and generous, and the front of house runs with the warmth of someone who actually wants you there. Three ways in: à la carte, fixed-price, or tasting menu, with European wines priced like they want you to order another bottle.
