Maison Albar Hotels Leshan

A French hotel brand dropped into Sichuan, which sounds like a dare but somehow holds together. Maison Albar runs 97 rooms and three suites with butler service, two restaurants covering Chinese, French, and the space between them, and interiors that swing from grand gestures to quiet corners. The Leshan Giant Buddha is about half an hour by car, Mount Emei a bit further, so the sightseeing is not exactly incidental.
