A federation-era timber home turned small guesthouse in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, where the Glasshouse Mountains make a rather dramatic backdrop to an otherwise quiet country town. Rooms lean boutique, atmosphere leans borrowed-someone's-house, and the magnesium pool is the kind of detail that sounds indulgent until you're actually in it. Maleny itself does most of the entertaining from there.
