Bairrada-style suckling pig is the draw at this regional restaurant near National Road 13 in Póvoa de Varzim, a long way from the dish's central-Portugal heartland but seemingly undeterred by that. The signature roast arrives with crackling skin, wafer-thin chips, salad, and the house leitão sauce. Salt cod, duck rice, and a suckling-pig bean stew fill out a menu that doesn't stray far from the classics. Spacious, light-filled rooms and a well-stocked wine cellar complete the picture.
