Fir trees and hiking trails are the only neighbors at this restored stone lodge sitting high in the Peloponnese highlands. Once a soldiers' sanatorium, it was eventually converted into a luxury mountain retreat, with pale wood interiors, linen duvets, heated floors, and copper bathtubs in some suites. The wellness area leans into the setting with a cave pool, forest sauna, and hammam. Truffle hunting and horseback riding are on the activity list, which is a commitment to the bit.
