    A garden courtyard tucked behind the dining room gives this modern Alsatian-German restaurant a pleasantly unhurried feeling. The chef-patron grew up in Alsace and cooks the kind of classic regional food that travels well across the Rhine, with a five-course surprise menu for the table or à la carte if you prefer to stay in control. Weekend mornings, the entrance café sells house-made cakes and pastries over the counter.
