The former infirmary and servants' quarters of a Benedictine monastery converted into a 53-room hotel, with the old wine cellar and oil press now doing duty as the lobby bar. Original wooden floors and high ceilings have survived the renovation intact, and the Arouca Geopark, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is right outside. Guests who find historical weight comforting will sleep well here.
