Old Stamp House
Regional British
The cellar where Wordsworth once handled stamp distribution for Westmorland now holds one of the Lake District's more quietly serious dining rooms. Old Stamp House is a tasting-menu restaurant, and the format is a tour through Cumbrian produce, each course carrying a bit of local or personal history behind it. The chef holds a Michelin star, and the cooking leans into bold-meets-delicate without making a fuss about it.
