Bamboo-walled cabins and hardwood-floored villas with private decks sit right on the Pai River, with the Mae Hong Son jungle doing most of the decorating. The boutique resort runs three restaurants, which is ambitious for the size, including a Brazilian grill and an Italian spot alongside a steakhouse. The spa's anchor is Mama Lon, Mae Hong Son's first traditional Thai massage practitioner, who grows the herbs she uses in the compress treatments herself.
