Palazzo Santa Maria

A neoclassical mansion tucked into one of Hermoupolis's twisting lanes, this boutique hotel keeps its historic bones intact, with guest rooms in royal blue and burgundy and suites where previously hidden frescoes share wall space with marble lamps and vintage Lalique crystal from the owner's collection. Breakfast is a traditional Greek spread of local homemade produce. There's no restaurant, but the town's tavernas and main square are a short stroll away.
