Perched on a hillside above Steffisburg, this Michelin-starred fine dining room earns its name: on a clear day the terrace looks straight out at Thun and the Alps, which is either romantic or mildly distracting depending on your dining companion. The kitchen runs a set menu of four or five modern French courses, classical in structure but pared down and punchy, built around regional ingredients. The wine list comes with staff who know what they're talking about.
