    Rolling Bowland hills in every window, cask ales on the bar, and a kitchen that won't put anything on the plate it can't source within about thirty miles. Parkers Arms is a proper country gastropub in an isolated Lancashire valley, the kind of place people drive an unreasonable distance to reach and feel fine about it. The cooking is hearty and rooted in what's foraged or grown nearby, no foam in sight. Rooms are available if the drive home feels like a bad idea.
