Platán Bisztró
Modern Hungarian Eastern European
A 240-year-old plane tree shades the terrace at this lakeside bistro tucked inside a manor complex beside a historic castle in Tata. The menu mixes modern Hungarian cooking with broader European influences, and a patisserie counter near the entrance makes leaving without a profiterole an act of real discipline. Indoors the room is quietly elegant; outside, with the water and the old tree, it borders on unfair. The Michelin Guide awarded it a Bib Gourmand.
