A former pocketbook factory, all red brick and industrial bones, converted into a luxury boutique hotel that arrives with more swagger than your average Hudson Valley farmhouse inn. The design firm Charlap Hyman & Herrero handled the overhaul, which explains why the whole thing feels considered rather than decorated. Selected by the Michelin Guide, it sits just off Hudson's main strip, close enough to the antique shops to be convenient, far enough to feel like an escape.
