    Seasonal French

A striped canopy and fairy lights mark out this bottle shop and bistro on the Gloucestershire high street. The menu changes regularly, chalked on a blackboard, and leans on produce grown on the team's own smallholding, so the French-leaning cooking tends to taste like it means it. Pasta, tarte Tatin, sensible prices. The Michelin Guide awarded it a Bib Gourmand, which about sums up the spirit of the thing.

    One honor, in evidence:

    The record strongest first

One number, weighted & current 74

Eat Score

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. It runs on the scored places nearby: more good stuff within reach, higher score. If it looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
