    A 15th-century wine cellar underneath a grand hotel on Vilnius's Old Town cobblestones is a pretty good opening argument. The Astorija is classic big-hotel territory, polished and unhurried, with woven local textiles softening the formality, a glass-walled brasserie looking onto St. Casimir's Church, and a Gin Bar that takes itself seriously in the best way. The rooftop lounge is where everyone ends up eventually.
