    A medieval castle tucked into the Bavarian countryside, Rehbergers im Schloss Hohenstein runs a restaurant inside it where the winter garden looks out over the old courtyard. The chef cooks contemporary seasonal food with regional ingredients, while the proprietress brings Austrian warmth and pointed wine suggestions to the table. The kind of place that makes a long drive through pretty nothing feel entirely reasonable.
