The terrace looks out toward a medieval castle and the Austrian Alps, which sets an unfair standard for any restaurant without that view. This is a casual, seasonal dining room inside a boutique hotel perched high above Pfronten, serving regionally grounded food that changes with what the surrounding Allgäu actually produces. Lunch is available too, a rarer thing up here than it should be.
