    A family-run restaurant in the Lahn Valley, where the kitchen turns out unfussy classics, braised venison with house-made spaetzle, grilled calamaretti with asparagus, the kind of cooking that tastes like it has something to prove but refuses to show off about it. The country interior is warm and cosy, the Weinstube a touch more rustic, and the lime-tree terrace is the seat everyone quietly hopes to get.
