The evening starts with popcorn and champagne, which tells you something about the tone. Rouge Noir is a Michelin-starred chef's table for eight, tucked into a private room above Lake Weissensee, lined with cookbooks and framed by views of water and mountains. The chef runs the twelve-course tasting menu himself, explains each dish at the table, and the local fisherman occasionally drops by to talk through the catch.
