    Dinner inside the original cellar of a celebrated Stellenbosch wine estate, where the stone walls do a lot of the heavy lifting before a plate even arrives. The chef came up through kitchens across several continents after a career in professional basketball, which is either a great story or proof that culinary school is overrated. Contemporary French cooking with Brazilian and Italian undertones, in a setting that makes a strong case for ordering the wine pairing.
