A boutique hotel on the Chao Phraya River, positioned so the open-air terrace, rooftop bar, and riverfront suites all face a Khmer-style temple tower built in the 14th century, which is doing a lot of the decorating. Bangkok studio Onion designed the place in sharp, whitewashed minimalism, with the pool tucked into a courtyard of exposed brick so the ancient skyline gets the spotlight. Rooms run toward the spare and striking, with freestanding soaking tubs throughout and private pools in some.
