A curving red footbridge leads to this boutique resort on a small island downstream from Ayutthaya, and the architects chose village vernacular over the ornate spires of the nearby Summer Palace next door. The rooms, polished concrete floors and spa bathrooms included, quietly ignore that modest brief. A riverfront pool, wide timber terraces, and the particular stillness of being surrounded by water on all sides round out the argument for staying longer than planned.
