    Seventeen private villas by Balinese architect Popo Danes sit above a forested valley in Tegallalang, each with a heated pool and outdoor shower. This is a luxury villa resort, and it leans into that without apology: the style is elegant rather than rustic, the spa is full-service, and the infinity pool vanishes into the jungle canopy the way Ubud has made its signature move. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
