    Beach attendants who clean your sunglasses, serve sorbet, and mist you with Evian are a reasonable summary of what this Forbes Five Star resort on Barbados's west coast is about. Sandy Lane has been around forever, long enough to count Sinatra and Jagger among the regulars, and the white-sand beach and coral-stone grandeur make it clear the place has never been shy about its ambitions. Pack accordingly.
