Schloss Eberstein

A medieval castle perched on a hilltop above the Black Forest valleys, with 16 rooms looking out over either the courtyard or the wooded ridges below. It's a family-run hotel, and the décor leans into the history without cosplaying it. Bikes and hiking trails start right outside, and two restaurants on site cover everything from Baden regional cooking to Michelin-starred dining. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key. Reception closes at six, so late arrivals need a plan.
