A tavern that's been around forever, now doing something more considered than the name might suggest. In the dining room, the chef brings a Mediterranean sensibility to regional Baden-Württemberg ingredients, and the menu runs both omnivore and vegetarian set courses alongside à la carte. The room is warm, the service professional without being stiff. Good for a town-centre dinner where the kitchen is clearly trying.
