    Shawarmaji is a counter-service spot in Oakland that has quietly raised the bar for what shawarma can be in the Bay Area. The chicken wrap is the move, stuffed with peppery marinated meat and finished with a garlicky toum that'll clear your sinuses in the best way. It's a dark, industrial room with vertical spits looming behind the counter and a line of people who all look like they know exactly what they're doing here.
